About the event
The late Spring weather is finally giving us some lush sunshine so we're making the most of it with another WBR gathering in our favourite secret garden location in North London!
CEREMONIAL CACAO
The beautiful, heart-healing medicine of cacao connects us with love and kindness, wisdom and truth, clarity and peace. Cacao invites us to drop from our heads into our heart space as we navigate with feeling over thought, dispersing blockages and rebalancing our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies.Â
There are so many benefits of this non-hallucinogenic plant medicine , some of which include helping us feel more relaxed, awake and focused, whilst boosting our cognitive functions, as well as filling us with feelings of bliss and euphoria. These feelings help us to connect to ourselves, to our joy and heart centre, to each other, nature and to the world around us. Cacao can provide us with a natural burst of energy, activating our creativity and encouraging deep meditation.Â
Our consciously sourced Guatemalan cacao will be lovingly prepared and shared in ceremony, before a short meditation and intentions setting ritual.
MINDFUL ARTS AND CRAFTS
Art and crafts is a wonderful way for us to to practice mindfulness. The colors, textures, and sounds of creating pull us into the present moment while allowing our minds to find calm, and bringing us a sense of freedom in our self-expresson and play. Benefits of mindfulness-based art therapy include: reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood and self-esteem, deeper insight and ways to develop compassion for ourselves and others.Â
Seemingly simple activites that kept so many of us entertained as childen, can still be incredibly powerful for self-exploration and awareness of our minds, bodies, feelings and thoughts as adults.  For example, colouring in can help to relax the fear centre of our brain, inducing a similar state as meditation by reducing whirring thoughts of a restless mind. Focusing on the present and the depth of the colours and shapes can create space for quietness, and unravelling our unprocressed feelings and thoughts, expressing ourselves beyond words and noticing the sensations we are experiencing.. Art making helps us to explore what we experience and discover in our mindfulness practice. In this practice we encourage non-judgemental responses in our mindfulness and art-making and patience in the process - there is no good or bad, right or wrong. Only expression, inspiration and creativity. We will be drawing, painting, making, creating in many different ways through a number of different types of art and crafts.
We will be combining the benefits of cacao and crafts on Saturday, while enjoying the goregous garden surroundings in the sunshine, connecting with ourselves, each other and nature.
If this sounds as dreamy to you as it does to us, book you space now :)
